WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. — Four members of Pat Manning‘s 2022-23 Williams women’s basketball team competing in the NESCAC Tournament Semifinals and Finals at Tufts this weekend have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
Senior forward Maddy Mandyck is majoring in Mathematics. When nominated Mandyck had started all 24 games and was averaging 36.6 minutes per game. In addition she was averaging in double figures in points 12.4 game and 10.9 rebounds per contest.
On November 22, 2022 Mandyck was Named USBWA National Player of the Week for role in 3 wins. In a game vs. Stevenson University she broke the Eph record for blocks in a game when she tallied 12.
Senior point guard Devin Biesbrock is a Chemistry major. Biesbrock played in and started 22 of the first 24 games this season averaging 34.3 minutes a game, scoring 8.5 points a game and dishing out 3 assists per game.
Sophomore forward Arianna Gerig has yet to declare a major. When nominated Gerig had started all 24 games played by the Ephs and she was averaging 31.1 minutes per contest. She was averaging 13.5 points a game while pulling down 5.5 rebounds per game.
In a 48-47 Eph OT win over Connecticut College she played 43 minutes, scored the game-winning basket, tallied 24 points, collected 8 rebounds, notched 7 steals and recorded 3 assists.
Sophomore shooting guard Ryann Taylor has yet to declare a major. When nominated Taylor had started 23 of the 24 Eph games averaging 22.3 minutes a contest. She averaged 6.8 points a game while collecting 1.8 rebounds per game.
