Odisha to Roll Out Subhadra Yojana Aid to 1.7 Lakh Women on April 24
In a landmark announcement aimed at reinforcing its commitment to women’s empowerment, Odisha’s Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida has declared that the eagerly anticipated financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana will be officially disbursed on Panchayati Raj Divas, April 24.
The disbursement will take place during a special state-level programme organized in Puri, where thousands of women beneficiaries are expected to gather. The scheme, a flagship initiative of the Odisha government, is designed to offer direct financial support to women, thereby enhancing their economic independence and promoting gender equity across the state.
As part of the sixth phase of the Subhadra Yojana, over 1,70,000 women who had submitted their applications by the cut-off date of March 31 will receive ₹10,000 each in financial aid. This amount will be provided as a single disbursement, covering two instalments of ₹5,000 each.
